Below is a picture of my own plane, a 1978 Piper
Archer II. This one has some more power and is a
little better equipped in the avionics department.
My former plane was a 1977 Piper Warrior II.
When I'm not out flying for real, I enjoy using flight
simulation programs to keep my skills sharp. Microsoft Flight
Simulator was really helpful way back when I was getting my
pilot's license and instrument rating. Currently, I almost
exclusively use
FlightGear.
FlightGear is open source and runs on many platforms including Linux.
