Mega Millions
Mega Millions is a multi-state bi-weekly lottery game that can
now be played in California as of June 22, 2005. The game
had its first draw on September 6, 1996 and was called
"The Big Game". Back then it was available in six
states. At first, the drawings were held just once weekly.
The game went bi-weekly in February of 1998 and the name was
changed to "Mega Millions" in May of 2002. The
drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday nights at 11:00 PM
Eastern Time (8:00 PM Pacific Time).
SuperLottoPlus
California started it's bi-weekly lottery game in 1986 with
the California SuperLotto 6/49 game. In 1991, they changed
the game to a 6/51 game. In June of 2000, they started the
latest version of the game called SuperLottoPlus. The
drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at just
before 8:00PM.
